Description
Wheat is a popular chicken feed, that some regard as the staple chicken feed. It can also be used as a supplement to a chicken’s diet. Also ideal for poultry, pheasants, wild birds, and livestock.
Wheat has a higher energy value than corn, lower in fat and higher in protein. It generally has 2% fat compared to 4% fat for corn. It also contains more phosphorus than many other grains.
Wheat is an excellent grain for mixing with other cereal feeds, such as oats, barley, and corn, as well as layers pellets. Wheat is also a staple cereal to feed to waterfowl.
