Jason

As the Managing Director of Rooke’s I’m passionate about making our business an awesome, exciting and safe place to be for both staff and shoppers (particularly those of the fur-kind).

At home I have a Terrier named Harry and a Main Coon/Ragdoll crossbreed named Gizmo – they’re both cool dudes!

My favourite animals are dogs, particularly German/Belgian Shepherds and anything crossed with them. Although if I could be any animal, I’d probably be a domestic cat… I think cats could rule the world one day.

When I’m not at Rooke’s I really enjoy visiting my local pub for a beer or two and catching up with friends over good food.

My dislikes? The BBC, cucumbers, wasps and wind-chimes!

Ben

I’m the Assistant Manager at Rooke’s Pet Products and I’ve been working here for over 10 years.

I’m a family man and a massive Eminem fan. In my free time I love gaming and working out at the gym.

I’ve got 2 cats at home and eventually I would love to add a Rottweiler to the family…the cats will love that!

Jack

I’m the shop floor Supervisor at Rooke’s and have been here since 2017. I love both cats and dogs… how do people choose between the two?! I tend to stay clear of our Reptile aisle though as anything involving frogs or spiders terrifies me!

I’m an avid West Ham fan and a big-time gym goer. I also enjoy a round of golf too (I reckon I’m pretty good – if I do say so myself!).

Hayley

I’ve been working at Rooke’s for 12 years now and I spend most of my time in store at the tills (so I may be a familiar face to many of you).

On my days off I enjoy getting out and about, in fact finding new places for lunch has become a bit of a hobby of mine.

I love befriending the dogs that come in store and most of them seem to love me too (although that could be because of the tin of treats I have at my till).

Lawrie

I joined the Rooke’s team back in 2019 and I absolutely love it here. I’m a passionate photographer and I love taking shots of the fur-customers that come in store to see us (have you seen them on our Facebook page?)

I grew up around animals, so when I moved into my first home I was eager to share my house with some. Currently, I’m being kept on my toes with my 2 young cats, Moose and Mango. I assure you, they’re enough for now!

On my days off if I’m not doing photography then I love to game!

Connor

I’ve been working at Rooke’s Pet Products since 2019 and I’m a big dog lover, in fact one day I hope to rehome one.

One thing you should know about me is that if I’m not watching sport, I’m playing it! I’m a keen gym-goer and footballer, but be warned… I do let Manchester United affect my mood!

Joe

I have been with Rooke’s since 2020 – it seemed a great opportunity for me after being around animals my entire life.

Unlike Jack, I love reptiles and amphibians, so if you need any help with these then I’m your guy!

I’m not one to laze about so in my free time I like to keep myself busy around the house by fixing things or building something new.

Chris

I joined the team at Rooke’s Pet Products in 2021. My favourite animals are cats because they’re easy-going and low maintenance… just like me!

My perfect day off would involve a 12 hour gaming spree, copious cups of coffee and being a bit of a slob… oh, some Coldplay in the background too. Honesty is the best policy, right?

Joey

I’ve been working at Rooke’s since the summer of 2023, and believe my previous roles have prepared me well! I used to work in an animal shelter and I was also a veterinary assistant, so you could say I’m in good stead to care for our furry customers.

I have two young cats at home, one of which was a finalist in the 202/23 Face of Rooke’s competition (her name is Maggie).

Cats aside, my two other loves include spending a few hours down the snooker hall followed by a pint of two (it’d be rude not to, right?) and music – I’m a guitarist and vocalist for a pop-punk band.

Jake

I’ve been working at Rooke’s part-time since the Summer of 2022. I love animals so being a member of the Rooke’s team while finishing my studies is the perfect job for me. I am a big dog person with an American Bulldog cross Rottweiler at home.

I won’t lie, I do love a lay-in, when I can of course (who doesn’t!?). I also enjoy football and I am a passionate Chelsea fan.

Sam

I’ve been with Rooke’s since June 2023. As me and Jake are brothers, we share the same dog, an American Bulldog cross Rottweiler (I’m also a big-dog person!).

I’m currently doing my A Levels, with an aspiration to become a lawyer, so I’m studying law as one of them. I’m also learning to drive and can’t wait to get on the road!

Ryan

I joined Rooke’s in August 2023 and work every weekend (I’m working parttime while I finish my Art, Business and Sociology A-Levels in sixth form).

I am a dog person, through and through! My family had a black Labrador that sadly had to leave us a year ago at the age of 13. When my studies come to an end and I finally get my own place, I’ll be getting a dog (or two!) without question!
